VCCI is Japan's electromagnetic compatibility certification mark, which is managed by the Japanese Electromagnetic Interference Control Council (Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment). VCCI certification is not mandatory, but information technology products sold in Japan are generally required to undergo VCCI certification . Manufacturers should first apply to become a member of VCCI before they can use the VCCI logo. In order to be recognized by VCCI, the provided EMI test report must be issued by a VCCI registered and recognized testing organization.

7. Certification process

1. The manufacturer or agent submits an oral or written preliminary application to the certification company.
2. The applicant fills in the application form, and sends the application form, product instruction manual and technical documents to the certification company (if necessary, the applicant company is also required to provide a prototype).
3. The certification company draws up plans and quotes.
4. The applicant confirms the quotation, signs back the quotation, and sends the samples and related technical documents to the certification company.
5. The applicant provides technical documents.
6. The certification company issues a charging notice to the applicant, and the applicant requires prepayment of the certification fee according to the charging notice.
7. The certification company reviews the technical documents and organizes relevant certification activities.
8. If the technical documents are incomplete or do not use the specified language, the certification company will notify the applicant to improve.
9. If the test fails, the certification company will notify the applicant in time and decide whether to suspend the project according to the situation, allowing the applicant to improve the product. The applicant should modify the technical information in the original application to reflect the actual situation after the modification.
10. For the rectification costs involved, the certification company will issue a supplementary fee notice to the applicant.
11. The applicant is required to pay the rectification fee according to the supplementary fee notice.
12. The certification company provides the applicant with test reports or technical documents, as well as VCCI compliance certificates.

Application period: 1-2 weeks, certification validity period: long-term valid

10. Matters needing attention

Enterprise products need to pass VCCI certification. First, send the product to the VCCI member laboratory for testing. After getting the test report, you need to report to the VCCI member. After becoming a VCCI member, the product is legal to use the VCCI logo.
