I. Introduction to Certification
IFETEL, whose full name is Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones, is the federal telecommunications Research Institute of Mexico. It is responsible for the testing and type approval process required for all imported equipment of Telecom Mexico. All products that use frequencies to transmit and/or receive signals, as well as all communication products connected to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) or public networks, must be certified by IFETEL.
Ii. Product Scope
All communication devices entering Mexico, including radio frequency function products such as WIFI, Bluetooth, satellite and mobile cellular.

3. Install the operation manual

Iv. Sample Requirements
One normal prototype and two RF prototypes.
V. Certification Process
Submit the materials and samples.
After passing the pre-test, it will be sent to Mexico for local testing.
After the samples pass the test, a test report will be issued.
4. The institution reviews the test report and issues the IFETEL certificate.
Vi. Certification Cycle and Validity Period
The certificate is valid for a long time.
Vii. Regulations on the Use of Logos
Consumer electronic products shall comply with the requirements for product marking as stipulated in the technical rules issued by IFETEL: The product shall indicate the certification approval number, and the brand and model of the product shall also be indicated. If it cannot be indicated on the product, it should be indicated on the packaging, instructions or labels.
The usual format of the certification approval number is IFETEL: XXXXXXXXXXX -XXXX.
