IEC Report

IEC Report
Details

1. Introduction to IEC report

IEC, the International Electrotechnical Commission (International Electrical Commission), is a worldwide standardization organization composed of national electrotechnical committees. The nature of the IEC report is an international safety test report, which is a standardized report, which lists the requirements of relevant IEC standards in the form of an item-by-item list. The report reflects the results of all tests, measurements, verifications, inspections and assessments required by the standard, which shall be clear and unambiguous. The report includes photos, country differences, term verdicts, and product descriptions. The testing standard is an internationally unified standard and is internationally recognized. IEC report does not require factory inspection.

2. Importance of IEC report

The certification bodies of member countries test the safety performance of electrical products based on IEC standards, and the test results pass the IEC test report, which is mutually recognized by member countries, reducing international trade barriers that must meet the certification or approval criteria of different countries . Obtaining the IEC report means that the product has met the requirements of the relevant IEC standards, which increases the market competitiveness of the product sold. IEC report can apply for CB report, CE report, GS report, etc., and can be transferred to certification of various countries, SAA certificate, inspection of countries in the Middle East, South Africa, etc.

3. IEC Report Certification Scope

The field of IEC covers all aspects of electrical technology such as electrical equipment, motors, electronics, electric power, microelectronics, communications, audio-visual, robotics, information technology, new medical devices and nuclear instruments.

5. Common test items in IEC report

1. Basic requirements (component structure, label and description, energy level and protection, safety protection, explosion)

2. Injuries caused by electricity (electrical energy source protection, insulation materials and requirements, safety protection components)

3. Fire caused by electricity (classification of power source and potential ignition source, fire safety protection, internal and external wiring)

4. Injuries caused by hazardous substances

5. Injuries caused by machinery

6. Hot burn

7. Radiation (classification of radiation energy sources, safety protection of laser radiation, safety protection of acoustic energy sources)

6. The process of IEC report

1. Provide samples;

2. Fill in the application form;

3. Provide the information required by the product, such as: product manual, product model list (series model), key component list and certification certificate, product photo, brand name, etc.;

4. Sample test, report if qualified, rectify if unqualified, retest after rectification, and report after passing the test

Note: When applying for IEC certification, you need to inform the countries to be considered for inclusion in the report, so that the corresponding national differences can be taken into account when testing.
