1. Introduction to Certification
In order to promote the sales of authentic electronic products, the Tanzanian government will vigorously strengthen the efforts of electronic products on the market. The Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) and the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) are stepping up efforts to remove substandard electronic products from the market, which is positively impacting the business of genuine traders.
The campaign to wipe out counterfeit electronic products has not only allowed genuine traders to excel in the local Tanzanian market, but has also improved fair competition as TCRA controls the import of counterfeit electronic products by issuing Certificates of Conformity (CoC).
Nowadays, you cannot import electronic products into local Tanzanian market without getting CoC certification from TCRA, which controls substandard goods sold at low prices in Tanzanian market.
