I. Introduction to PSB Certification

Only registered products with the "SAFETY" mark can be sold in Singapore. All relevant units responsible for selling regulated goods to consumers in Singapore must register each model with the safety authorities. When logging in, a certificate and test report must be presented to confirm that this model complies with the mandatory product safety standards. At present, Singapore only requires safety, while for EMC, it is only a voluntary principle. The product can only be sold in Singapore after obtaining the PSB.

Ii. Catalogue of PSB-Certified Products

The 48 types of products subject to mandatory safety certification in Singapore include: audio products; Home personal computers and peripheral products; Household appliances and other products.

Iii. PSB Certification Standards

CB conversion can be used. Under the requirements of IEC standards, the products must also meet the tests for tropical conditions.

Iv. Preparation of PSB Certification Materials

CB certificate and test report valid for three years (English version only)

4. Parts Material List (BOM)

5. Architecture/engineering drawings and parts list

6. English User Manual

7. Color photos, including exterior and interior (important safety parts) photo files

8. Other information: The name, address and detailed contact person of the importer or agent in Singapore

V. PSB Certification Process

The enterprise submits an application

Vi. Precautions for PSB Certification

1. The certificate holder is a locally registered company in Singapore;

2. No factory inspection or annual fee;

The validity period of the certificate is three years.

4. If the product is a direct plug power supply. Then the plugs must meet the relevant requirements. For instance, European standard plugs should comply with EN50075, while British standard plugs need to meet BS1363 or SS246 requirements, and there should be relevant plug test reports

5. There is no series application for product certification. Each certificate can only cover a single model and one trademark

6. If a valid CB certificate or report is held, samples are generally not required to be provided

7. Certification standards: IEC standards + Singapore differences, or SS standards
