IC Certification
Details
IC is the abbreviation of Industry Canada, which is the abbreviation of the Ministry of Industry of Canada. IC stipulates the testing standards for analog and digital terminal equipment and requires that wireless products sold in Canada must be certified by IC. Therefore, IC certification is the pass and essential condition for wireless electronic and electrical products to enter the Canadian market. According to the relevant requirements in the standard RS-GEN formulated by IC and the standard ICES-003e, wireless products (such as mobile phones) must comply with the relevant EMC and RF limits, and also meet the SAR requirements in RS-102. Take the GSM850/1900 module or mobile phone with GPRS function as an example. In the EMC test, there are tests for RE (Radiated Disturbance) and CE (Conducted Disturbance). In the SAR assessment, if the actual operating distance of the wireless module is over 20cm, the radiation safety situation can be evaluated in a way similar to the MPE defined in the FCC in accordance with relevant regulations.
