1. Introduction to Certification

The National Telecommunications Commission of the Philippines (NTC) stands for National Telecommunications Commission, which is responsible for the regulation of wireless and telecommunications services in the Philippines. All wireless and telecommunications products entering the Philippine market need to obtain the Philippine NTC certification license.

3. Certification category

NTC certification is divided into Type Approval, Type Acceptance and Grant of Equipment Conformity

Three ways:
1.Type Approval is aimed at equipment that communicates with the telecommunications network in the building, such as desktop computers, switches, etc.
2.Type Acceptance for wireless-enabled devices, such as Bluetooth headsets, TPMS, etc.
3. Grant of Equipment Conformity is for CPE devices with wireless interfaces, such as tablet computers, mobile phones, wireless printers, etc.

4. Product range

For telecommunications equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment, the existing mandatory specifications for mobile phone communication products are extended to wireless related products.

7. Certification process

1. Fill in the application form and authorization letter
2. The customer signs back the authorization letter and submits the relevant test report
3. Submit the official application
4. Official audit and send audit email to the laboratory for issuing the report
5. Issuance of certificates

8. Certification cycle and validity period

The certification period is 2-3 weeks, and the certificate is valid for a long time

9. Factory inspection

No factory inspection required

10. Matters needing attention

1. Except for the radio frequency report, other test reports shall be subject to the product;
2. For the RF report, the RF report of the module can replace the RF report of the product;
3. Priority of RF part: module NTC certificate > FCC report > CE report.
4. NTC accepts EMC&RF&TELECOM test reports of CE, FCC and other standards and safety reports approved by CB or NB.
