1. Introduction to Certification

Thailand's NBTC is the abbreviation of "National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Bureau Committee". It is a typical government management department with administrative punishment power, similar to my country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is also the competent authority for telecommunications products and telecommunications networks. From July 1, 2008, the existing mandatory specifications for mobile communication products will be extended to wireless related products. Generally speaking, wireless products such as mobile phones exported to Thailand need to be certified by Thailand's NBTC before they can be sold in the local market.

The range of telecommunication equipment sold in Thailand subject to NTC control is divided into 3 groups:

1.Class A: Registration
Class A Approval: The product needs to be tested in a laboratory designated by NTC and the data required by NTC must be provided to obtain the registration number and certification certificate.

2.Class B: Approval Certification
The Class B Approval certification procedure is the same as the Class A product category, except that foreign reports such as FCC, CE, CB... can be used to apply for certification in the transfer mode, and a registration number and certification certificate are also required.

3. SDoC: Supplier's Declaration of Conformity
SDoC Declaration of Conformity (Supplier蝿s Declaration of Conformity (SDoC)) This part of the product certification is a voluntary model, which needs to be filled out by the local representative of the customer in Thailand and then sent to NTC for reference together with the technical documents.

1. Product manual, follow the manual, instruction manual
2. Adapter safety report (LVD report) EN60065 report or EN60950 report or EN62368 report
3. List of key components; key component certificates (UL certification/ETL certification); and provide key component model manufacturers UL/ETL certificate numbers
4. Product labels and packaging pictures
5. The operating environment temperature is tc°C, and the withstand temperature is ta°C~

6. Authentication mode

7. Certification process

1. Provide product manual and instruction manual.

2. The customer fills in the test application form and provides product information.

3. Confirm the testing standard; arrange a thorough test.

4. Customer product rectification, arrange testing.

5. After the test is completed, arrange a draft report.

6. The customer confirms the report information, confirms OK, and issues a stamped report.

8. Certification cycle and validity period

NBTC type approval is valid for 3 years and the certification period is about 6 weeks

9. Matters needing attention

1. The normal voltage standard is 220V 50Hz/60Hz; if it is a plug adapter, it must conform to the IEC60065 standard or IEC60950 standard or the new standard IEC62368, and the plug adapter must be a European plug of 220V-240V 50Hz/60Hz; if it is a table lamp, the rated voltage needs to be 220V;
2. Label requirements: the text requires English, and the content must include: product name, model, manufacturer, technical parameters (voltage standard 220V-240V, 230V, 240V, 230V-240V are all OK), identifier, country of origin (made in china)
3. Outsourcing box requirements: on the basis of the label + energy efficiency level + ROHS testing + quantity + size.
4. Mobile phone accessories: TISI is required for batteries shipped separately
